First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List .........................................................................
Thanks for the explanation. That is exactly why I asked, as some one who takes the initiative to step outside the box, usually has a good reason and has usually done their homework on the subject. Thus my chance to learn something new, and to perhaps get a different perspective. While I've seen a lot in this hobby, everyone looks at it differently, so I like to try to see it through their eyes if I can. Have you met any of the CO Firebird guys? Mark, David, Tim, Raz etc? I know Jim C was just there for the Holidays too... One of my best friends is in Co Springs, and one is up in Highlands Ranch... Hope to get out that way again next year some time. Thanks - Brett - 67 Drop Top 455 (Seattle) Subject: Re: [FGF] 67 GTO springs? From: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Brett, I was converting my 4 wheel drum brakes to 4 wheel discs (another story entirely), so it seemed like a good time to replace the coil springs which were obviously not doing the job. They had spacers installed and the car would bottom out going over dips at speed. The engine in my 68 convertible is a 454 BB Chevy, which was in the car when I bought it. I probably could have used Camaro springs... Timothy 68 ‘vert Colorado Springs _________________________________________________________________ You live life online.
