Hi
I swapped out my new SoftSeal parts for Metro Supersoft for my Conv. kit with A pillars. The fit was MUCH better, the former parts was bought from YearOne(I think) as part of a package for the whole car, and this part of it had fitting isues. The A pillar post seals was too short and wrong shaped at the top, and the roofrail strips just didn“t add up, leaving holes of about 3/8" between them! BTW, the trunk strip is also a heavy one, trunk is hard to get down enough, but it seems to compress into shape by time....(3-4 years!)

Hmmmm, looks like I'll give Softseal a try. I remember someone on the list said these worked well when I asked the question the first time.

Thanks,
Sheen

First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List> ............................................................... ..........> I replaced my seals about a year ago and was unable to find any that were close to the originals, [dimensionally & durometer]. I did try the more expensive OER Latex, it was a little softer, but the trunk-lid still doesn't close correctly.> I've noticed that my relatively new door/window seals are starting to crack already! The car is under a car cover most of the time, so I can only assume it's a poor quality material. I guess they lost the recipe for good resilient seal material.... >
