Is GM still available? I got a GM rear trunk seal - latex, like butter -
from AMES a few years ago - cost was considerably higher, but totally worth
it.

Hmmmm, looks like I'll give Softseal a try. I remember someone on the list
said these worked well when I asked the question the first time.

I replaced my seals about a year ago and was unable to find any that were
close to the originals, [dimensionally & durometer]. I did try the more
expensive OER Latex, it was a little softer, but the trunk-lid still
doesn't close correctly.> I've noticed that my relatively new door/window
seals are starting to crack already! The car is under a car cover most of
the time, so I can only assume it's a poor quality material. I guess they
lost the recipe for good resilient seal material.... >
