Ron,

I shall not take it as a rant, I shall take it as ignorance as to my proper
techniques. Did I say they were 100% perfect. No. But they are 50 times
better than most wiring.

If you referring to the secondary non-insulated GROUND block connections on
the topside of the firewall, well, ground blocks don't need special
treatment or heat tube. Just crimp to bare metal and screw to the block.

Another glance at the wiring will show you EVERY connection is soldered and
heat shrinked (except for the ground block), and every aftermarket gauge is
wired with a 4 pin quick-release connection.

Those red on the wires you might be mistaking for crimp connectors is
soldered w/ red heat tube.

Not sure why you are war-mongering on the external glass fuse block. It is
soldered directly to the unused "Accessory" panel on the main fuse with 8ga
wire. All my aftermarket electrical modifications flow through the external
fuse block. This was done to give each aftermarket accessory it's own
circuit separate from the rest of the car's systems. If glass fuses were OK
by GM for 40+ years, why isn't it good enough now?

As yes, that picture on my website is a wiring mess, but that was due to the
sheer magnitude of modifications I made to the stock
gauge/radio/amp/AC/headlights/etc.

Let me conclude by saying that every electrical system worked in my car the
FIRST time I put it back together, and THAT my friend, is no joke.

.... But then again, maybe I don't know what I am doing....

Thomas

Im sorry I took a long look at the wiring this guy did and I have to say (I
know im getting flamed for this) that is the most backwards wiring I have
seen in a long time, I would rathern ahave seen a non insulated connection
used, and heat shrink...not those insulated crimp connecters...and I could
help noticing the glass fuse holder.....If that was my car...or even one of
my customers cars you can bet I would have spent a little more time and
effort.

I repeat this is not a rant I just spent 12 ours at work and maybe I need a
nap and dinner but I had to say something.
