Hi Sheen, Very nice plan. I have a wish list started for my shop: * Build it tall enough with good attic access for storage. I plan on going 2 story with a loft depending on the zoning restrictions. * Make sure to put in a sump. * If possible plumb water, sewer hot water tank for a bathroom, wash tub (mops parts etc) and shower stall * Area for washer and dryer. * Room for sandblast booth, welding, grinding etc. (well ventilated) * Insulated room for Compressor, dryer, hot water tank and services. * ventilated paint area (future paint booth) with hazardous material storage cabinets. * Room for two lifts 1 car storage, 1 HD to work on truck, car etc. (As mentioned slab thickness is important) * Floor heating, radiant backup (Required in Canada) * Rough in cable for TV * Floor safe (During slab construction) * Wire for alarm, security cameras. * Pot lights and plugs in eves. * Dry sprinkler system. (protect cars) I want to build a shop large enough for my 5th wheel so I plan on installing a RV plug, sump and water connections inside the building so I could actually use the 5er in the winter months if required. Still adding to the list daily Good luck Brent Block 68 350 Coupe StAlbert, Alberta, Canada http://firstgenfirebird.org/show/closeup.mv?CarID=378 > First Generation Firebird-L Mailing List > ........................................................................ .. > > Anyone have a recommendation for a good way to build a workshop?
