Hey Tu, here are some pix for you of my 400 hood that should help. Let me know if you need more? Also one in there for Mace, Waterneck/Rad. Hose etc & notice my thermometer in the intake which has been 100% accurate even when the sender went out & the gauges were not accurate. Had this in there almost 8 years now. Many have picked one up from Jegs or Moon for peace of mind... http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/brettNheather/Reference%20Images/ Out of all the posts, I think it was only brought up once that the correct operating temp for Pontiac's are about 190-210... somewhere in that range. Up to 250 is not that far out of the range but is definitely on the high end... so if you're anywhere below 210-220, you're not really doing bad at all... The correct operating temp for one manufacture is quite different from another. So most are comparing apples to oranges. Also, when it comes to the major parts vendors, they are (for the most part) all getting their parts from the same manufacturers. Many have better alliances with some of them and can in fact offer better discounts and a wider range of quality parts. But, such as Ames, they were by far the best quite a few years back, but were sold and the new owners don't have the same ideal relationships with the same manufacturers that the Ames family did, and this is why they have changed considerably in quality and service. This said, they are still in great standing, but it's just not the same. Classic Industries is probably the biggest player in the market as far as positioning themselves in the marketplace today. They will be worth watching... So, Tu, in that respect, be careful dealing with Biscays in Vancouver, as they have been known to push a lot of sheetmetal that is less than acceptable, damaged or otherwise... Not bad to deal with... just not all they claim to be so you have to inspect everything carefully as with any vendor. What vendor in Portland is it? Great to see you chime in Rick, sorry to hear about you being laid up? Hey Brent, Dino, Jim C, Mace, Bob, Chris R, Bjorn (of course) Thomas, Niklas... Hansi you still out there? and all the rest of the usual suspects. Sorry I've been so busy as of late and haven't posted much (understatement) I only made it to two shows this year GTO club's All Muscle Car show & the Firebird Clubs All Pontiac Show. Took Best Firebird at the Muscle car show and second in class at the Pontiac show... I think we had only 18 1st gen convertibles this year... http://s69.photobucket.com/albums/i78/brettNheather/09%20All%20Pontiac%20%20 show/ Brett - 67 Drop Top 455!
