Yes, Andy has been talking about this for some time...we even have been
"dreaming" about shipping our cars to France and drive around Provence
Alps....what a hoot! but $$$ that it will take is way off..
a central US meet would be easier ,even though not that easy....but as
many people attend Norwalk etc from far away , this is not a bad idea...
Colorado isn't bad for me....is that "central" enough? but nice
landscape , nice roads.....
its certainly a 'possible', biggest problem I don't think are wives , at
least not mine (she`ll just stay home...lol)but a time where everyone
(or most) can be off at the same time....
in HALF we are up to cruises anyway , we usually do a few shorter ones
every year...a few hundred miles round trips , or our long weekend in
Corpus every spring...thats only about 500 miles round trip.

if gas prices stay kind of where they are and not up in $4.00 range...

maybe we could get a gas company to sponsor us! lol, since we together
will use up quite a bit...lol

Scott, Andy, from Bjorn's neck of the woods has been talking about that
same idea for the last few years of doing a mass gathering in Vegas. I
know it's not really "central"... but certainly has something to offer
everyone! But I would imagine there would be a way to set something up
like that... it would be a blast and would be a major event! That's for
sure!

Brett!
(Were all here for the same reasons Mace, just glad to help when we can
and to get help when we need it... Glad to see you still working on the
bird after all this time... it will feel great to have her tearing up
the streets again!)

Ok, talking about a "giant group get together", has anyone every tried
to put one together? What a gas it would be to see all our Birds
together in one place and to meet everyone!

We would need to pick a central location and date that is far enough out
there that we would all have time to plan ahead, mark our calendars,
start saving some money, getting our cars "finished" (if there is such a
thing).
The hardest part might be making up a story to tell our wives about
where we're going.

What do you say?? I could be ready for a road trip in the fall of 2010
or spring 2011. Maybe we could get a few sponsors (Ames, Classic, PY,
etc.) to donate some dollars (to put towards some prizes, or travel
expense, or whatever). I bet we could get Smoke Signals or other mag's
to cover it as well.

What do you say? Any takers?? Scott
