I have the vacuum unilite, also. My setup ran better in all aspects
without the advance, so it is not connected. Sometimes the
performance cam / rear gear can do that to you. I have always had
better luck with the vacuum advance when the engine / rear gear is
more near to stock. I haven't tried to adjust the vacuum advance to
match it up to the engine, yet so I can not tell you if if would run
smoother. Runs excellent now, so I don't know if I will.
Bottom line, if you have it, use it. If it is 'doggie' then trade it
or sell it and go the vacuum route.

I have a unilite with a vacuum advance on my firebird, it would be a
good
idea to have vac advance for part time throttle operation. check you
may be
able to convert it.

vacuum
advance on it.. Is this ok for the street, or should I get a
different
one with vacuum advance?
