The rear tail pipe hangers are just bolted to the frame rails by large
sheet metal screws.

The muffler / resonator hangers are long bolt to the floor between the
trunk and back seat. The holes are pre drilled

Sorry about your luck. I have had work done on my car at muffler shops.
I never left my car, and was under it when they did the work.....
Because they are usually stupid.....as far as common sense goes.

Now I have my own lift, no more monkeys under my car. Except me of
course..

.
I had duals put on my 68,and the shop did a good job running the
pipes,but
for the rear hangers they drilled a hole thru the rear frame and put a 3

1/2" bolt thru it to hang them from. not only that, but must have used
an
impact to tighten it down cause one side they collapsed the frame rail
slightly..right at rear of wheelwell opening. man am I pissed!! where
do the V-8
hangers usually mount? I'm thinking he may also have ruined some of my
cars
value by drilling holes in my rustfree frame...??
