Jim,

I have two sets of new red deluxe door panels. The color is a brighter
red than I believe the originals were. I took them along with me to SMS Auto
Fabrics in Oregon when I went to purchase vinyl for the seats and rear
side panels. They told me that red vinyl actually turns darker with age and
it could be that the brighter door panel color is correct, or it could be
that they used the wrong color when they made them. I'm trying to decide if
I should dye the door panels a darker color or get vinyl for the seats in a
slightly brighter shade of red. I bought the last of the OEM red
comfortweave material for the seats that they had and it was very expensive,
but
would work with either shade of red. I'm just trying to get an interior
where all of the red color matches and looks as close to factory as possible.

Also, did you keep your dash pad the burgundy color, or did you go with
red? I saw this topic posted years ago and I would really like to make the
dash pad a matching red as well, but I want it to look factory.

Thanks
Old Joe

Frank,

Here's a Custom interior '68 door panel. Don't know of a "hockey stick".
Although I replaced my originals 20+ years ago, this is identical. (I
have the cracked originals in the basement.)
