I appreciate the comments, but I really want to know what was originally on the lower ball joints for grease fittings. I agree that the uppers were likely straight. I'm trying to make my car as correct as possible. Old Joe In a message dated 1/22/2010 7:01:59 P.M. Original fittings (one ball joint still riveted in place) in my 68 Bird were straight and the replacement ball joint's fittings were straight. This is not to say that the original fittings were not replaced at some time in its 42 years. It's really just a matter of personal choice as to which type to use. Which ever makes it easier to grease them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/> ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Submissions to Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Unsubscribe from Firebird-L: <[email protected]> Help: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/firebird/Firebird-L.html> Classifieds: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/ubb/> Owner Pictures: <http://FirstGenFirebird.org/show/>
