Great ideas! The Stewart Warner tach on the console IS hard to read (not 
intended for older eyes, I guess!), but I hadn't thought of something with a 
shift light. That would at least give a visual clue to the shift. The hood tach 
is the stock option and it does put the rpms right in front of your face. I 
still like the looks of the Sun 801 10-grand tachs with the 280-degree or so 
face. Not that the car gets anywhere close to 10K, but it sure looks wicked, 
and right side placement makes a lot of sense. Thanks to all for the input. 
That's one of the great things about this forum.
