Hi Steve..that is actually one your local gm dealer can help you with.
Switching is easy. Look underneith and notice where speedometer cable goes
into tranny. Remove the bolt holding what lookings like a fat slingshot
piece of metal. Remove the cable...(also have a small drip tray under the
outlet) and pull the cable. The gear is attached to the cable, just pull it
apart. Reverse to install.

I recently upgraded my rear end to 3:55 gears. Of course now my speedometer
is way off. I know I need to replace the drive and the driven gears but my
question is two fold:
What size gears to I need?
How do you replace the driven gear inside the transmission?
I am running 245/60/15 tires in the rear and the transmission is a Turbo
350.
Any help would be appreciated.
