So the best you'll get here is someone's experience which may not reflect yours. On the other hand, Firebird 1.5 doesn't depend on a lot of other systems (e.g. ICU came later) and Microsoft is pretty good about upward compatibility, so the chances are pretty good that the application will work - to the extent that any 10 year old software with no new patches works.
