I am also experiencing the same problem with the latest version 1.2.0. I'm rewriting one of our applications in Ext JS and use a PHP session to store information about the logged on user. All I have needed to do in order to test my Ext JS app so far was to log into the original app and call session_start() on the PHP pages that the ajax components call. Since upgrading from version 1.2.0b4 of firebug I have been unable to do this. In fact my original application does not even work! I rolled back to a previous version of firebug and everything worked fine again.
