Thanks, your remarks clarify a lot.  But I had a question, especially
in light of the fact that FF prompted me to upgrade to 1.2.1
today. :-)

1.2.1b1 is safer than 1.2.1?  Is this a typo?  Did you mean that
1.2.1b1 is safer than 1.2.0?

Or am I simply misunderstanding the versioning scheme?  I think
1.2.1b1 comes before 1.2.1, where 1.2.1 is just like 1.2.1b1 except
1.2.1 is (ideally) release-quality.  Hopefully the 1.2.1 release is
better/safer than 1.2.1b1...?
