It seems that Firebug sometimes prevents POSTs from getting through to the webserver when running on Ubuntu 8.10 (64bit), Firefox 3.0.5, and connecting to a local webserver. The fault doesn't lie with Apache, because other webservers (our proprietary one, for example) also don't receive the messages at all. The issue disappears when Firebug is uninstalled or disabled. I have tried the latest stable version of Firebug, as well as the latest alpha release, and the problem still occurs.
For the moment, I can bypass the problem somewhat by connecting to the server through a virtual machine running on my box (which I need to do for IE testing anyway), but it's very annoying to have the additional overhead when I use Firebug so much for debugging javascript and styling docs. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
