Maybe some can explain this word "stable" to me. Many people use it
but I don't understand what they mean.  I guess they mean "least
buggy"?

Anyway, for Firefox reinstall does not clear the configuration, so if
you want to be sure that your configuration is the same as the one we
use in testing Firebug you need to create a new Firefox profile and
install Firebug 1.3.3.  Hints in the FAQ:
