AHA!
I think I figured it out.

I moved back to 1.3.3 and goofed around until i saw the problem crop up
again.  In this instance, only 20 lines of code showed up.  As soon as I
dragged the splitter between the script pane and the watch pane, it updated
with the entire JS file.  Same for dragging the top of the FB pane.  So it
would appear that this is merely a painting problem.
