Thanks, I tried installing the DOM Inspector add-on. That didn't fix
the problem either.  I also tried starting with a clean profile as
suggested in another post, but that didn't make any difference.  Grrr.

I'm all out of ideas except trying to find an old copy of Firefox and
using an older copy of Firebug.
