We trying to get 1.4.0 Thursday morning. But right now it's not

Test web pages. See for example, these bug reports:

There is one test case here from "Pappy'. I doubt the fix I created
for that problem will solve so many problems. The fix only applies in
rather unusual cases.

Frankly I'm doubtful. My guess is that you have another problem.
