That seems like a pretty seriously bad situation.  Making a new
profile isn't really just a "la dee dah" operation - there's a
tremendous amount of stuff associated with a browser profile, and
throwing it all away is a hardship.  Previous versions of the plugin
didn't seem to have any such problems.
