I realize that it is called the 'Net' panel, but in previous versions of Firebug (1.3 and earlier), hitting reload on the page would show all files being loaded much more consistently than in 1.4. I also severely dislike the fact that Firebug now requires you to activate it in order to track server requests. Of all the panels, the 'Net' panel gets the most use. Everyone I've talked to likes 1.3 better than 1.4.
Need: List of all files loaded regardless of source (cache, net). I'd rather have a fake request in the net panel than constantly wonder if the file got loaded at all. Want: More accurate measurements of file sizes and load times. For some reason or other I get a ton of '?' marks when doing AJAX requests in 1.4 and the load times are completely off from actual. 1.4 also appears to consume a lot more resources - probably why it is always disabled. The developers came to the wrong conclusion that it should be disabled until activated because it consumes more resources. Want: An option to always have Firebug turned on for every website even if I'm not using Firebug. Also, please put the minimize button back in the upper right corner. I constantly accidentally hit the 'Off' button. Using Firefox 3 at the moment, will upgrade to 3.5 in a few weeks (after I finish my current project). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
