I had fb 1.4. I upgraded to 1.5a24 hoping this obvious problem would be fixed. No dice.
If I go to gmail and click the the "power" icon in the upper right left, the one whose tooltip says "Deactivate Firebug for this website", every time I come back to gmail, fb's icon is colorized again, rather than grayed out.
