Unfortunately this article was never about HP Smart Web Printing but about an academic project to create a different product called PrintMonkey. The line that reads
"We recommend Firebug [3] in order to see what the actual errors are. Unfortunately due to issues with using multiple JavaScript files, Firebug cannot display the actual JavaScript that caused the error to occur, but only the actual line." This was due to the nature of PrintMonkey which requires users to create their own templates using code similar to HTML. This was not to say there was any issue with using FireBug, just that someone debugging their own template may have issues debugging their own printing template. There was never any issue with FireBug not running as this user reports. Sorry, can't be of further help here :) Jennifer On Dec 31, 11:33 am, John J Barton <[email protected]> wrote: > Ironically the technology article on HP Smart Web Printing recommends > Firebug:http://webhome.cs.uvic.ca/~jbaldwin/diva/fp43470_baldwin.pdf > Sadly the article says there is some problem with using Firebug but > they failed to report the problem as a bug.
