Glad to see I'm not the only one. I upgraded to 1.5 yesterday and noticed that the HTML inspector wasn't highlighting the selected element or scrolling it into view. The options were set to do so. Note however that it did work occasionally (10%) -- usually after restarting FF. But within minutes it would revert to not working again.
The specific issue for me is that I can select an item with the inspect button - I see a blue border around the element - but that the HTML source in firebug panel does not scroll to and highlight that element in the DOM.
