I have fixed some bugs in the XHR watcher this week that was causing conflicts with other libraries (like jQuery) under some specific circumstances (like a *synchronous* request, or a request made before Firebug Lite UI finish loading). So, the error you're seeing may be related to these issues. You can try loading the "nightly version" of Firebug Lite, by using the following URL in your <script> tag, and see if this version is working as expected: http://fbug.googlecode.com/svn/lite/branches/firebug1.3/build/firebug.js Please note that you must use the ".js" file and not the ".jgz" once the googlecode.com does not support gzip hosting.
