I was able to reproduce this by accident: if Firebug's initialization code fails to run, one result is the view above. Another symptom will be that the tooltip on the statusbar icon says "Firebug" but no version info. You maybe able to find out why by the following procedure: 1) Install Firebug 1.5X.2 from http://getfirebug.com/releases/firebug/1.5X 2) URL "about:config", 3) set the preference extensions.firebug-tracing-service.DBG_toOSConsole true 4) Exit Firefox 5) Run firebug from the operating system console with option "- console" You should get an error message like extensions.firebug: chrome.panelBarReady FAILS: ReferenceError: FirebugLib is not defined jjb -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
