How do I do this manually WITHOUT downloading it from the website or saving the xpi and doing a File>Open? Here is what I have done thus far:
1. Extracted contents of xpi 2. Placed contents in a folder with the same em id name 3. Placed folder in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\Extensions 4. Navigated to C:\Users\<current user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla \Firefox\profiles\ 5. Modified extensions.ini file and added the appropriate em id for Firebug 6. Cleared the extensions.cache file 7. Restarted the computer 8. Launched Firefox Now this is the part with the trouble, The Firebug icon is in the lower right corner, the right-click menu context handlers appear but are NOT functional. Also if I go to Tools, Firebug displays but the sub menus will not appear. Also under Tools>Addons, Firebug does not appear in the list of extensions. Can someone help me out and let me know what I am missing PLEASE! **ADDITIONAL NOTE** I have done this EXACT procedure for IE View, Greasemonkey and Organize Statusbar and everything is 100% functional. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Firebug" group.
