Well this kind of problem will be hard to diagnose remotely. Of course a test case would be ideal. Does it happen 100% of the time on a15 and 0% of the time on a12? That way we can be sure the problem is not intermittent. If yes, I suggest you create a new Firefox profile and try a15 again. That way we can be sure the problem is Firebug. Is a15 slower than a12 if you click "debuggerDeep" on http://getfirebug.com/tests/content/script/debuggerKeyword/testPage.html? That way we know if it is your app or generic. There have been 160 changes since a12, so it would help if you can try a13. That way we narrow down the problem.
