I strongly recommend trying a new profile. This has proven in numerous
cases to clarify issues.

All of our standard tests are run on Linux:
http://getfirebug.com/tests/content/testbot/results/
The only known problem on linux concerns the popup completion list,
which you can disable with an option in the Console panel.
