Firebug is probably the wrong tool for this job.

First, install Jason Barnabe's Stylish, from
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/stylish/

Stylish lets you apply abitrary CSS, called UserStyles, based on the
site you are viewing.  (It can style Firefox itself, too.)

Then. go to UserStyles.org, and look at this page:
http://userstyles.org/styles/browse/all/http:%2F%2Ffetlife.com%2F

I think a couple of these will do what you want.
