I just want to confirm this issue: I have Mac OS 10.6.8, Firefox 6.0 and Firebug 1.8.1. Suddenly it started to work partially. Firefox doesn't show Firebug in tools menu. Firebug starts automatically when I launch Firefox, but if I close Firebug window there is no way to relaunch it again. Upgrade to Firefox 1.9.0a0 did not help. I created new Firefox profile and it didn't help ether.
