OH DUDE SWEET !!! THANKS !! I was already afraid that I need to go cold turkey on this: export passwords, bookmarks, backup profiles and creating new profile, and restore them back.
Issue solved: exit firefox, go to the profiles folder, delete mimeTypes.rdf, ta daaaa.
