OH DUDE SWEET !!! THANKS !!

I was already afraid that I need to go cold turkey on this: export
passwords, bookmarks, backup profiles and creating new profile, and restore
them back.

Issue solved: exit firefox, go to the profiles folder, delete
mimeTypes.rdf, ta daaaa.

Next question: how can I edit the original post's subject to add 'solved' ?
:D
