It works fine for me using Firefox 30.0 + Firebug 2.0.1 on Win8.1. Could be a problem with the settings in your profile or a conflict with another extension, so I suggest you follow the steps on our first aid page <https://getfirebug.com/firstaid> and let us know what you found out.
