My Firebug 3.0 disappeared in the toolbar, too. Firefox for mac 37.0.2 + Firebug 3 alpha 10+OS X 10.9.4. However, when I run Selenium + FirefoxWebdriver + Firebug 3 to generate HAR files, it show up in toolbar again.
