it's always more secure to have your own time server, even if you won't be
able to maintain such precision like atomic clocks will :) In case that you
would like to use ntp server outside your network you have to open udp port
123 (ntp), source for those packets should be also udp port 123. But this
could be enough for some experienced bored 'schoolboys' to do DoS or
something like this.
