Marko,
They do have antivirus software on each of the machines. I do not think that it is
installed in the correct matter. Every morning when
we start up our machines, they go this long drawn out process. It takes about 3
minutes to get all the way through it. It runs a bunch of
vb scripts, so I do not think that the antivirus knows the difference between what is
being run as norm or what is a virus. Most of the other companies
that I have worked at know how to do this on the firewall.
One Email, yes you could punish the offenders, but in some places that would be the
entire company. So it would be better to stop it
before it starts. My point is that this admin stopping it so he can read them is not
the same. Kind of the old saying do as I say not as I
do. I can see him scanning them looking for something that is hurting the company,
and that would be all...
