Gauntlet has a generic TCP proxy that you can use on whatever port you want
to use it on. If you need to filter UDP, you can do that via the packet
filtering option.

Gauntlet doesn't have any built in NT proxies, but I've filtered NetBIOS
through a Gauntlet firewall using packet screening and NAT.

As far as Gauntlet is concerned, handling the workload will primarily be
based on the amount of memory in the box and the processor speed of the box.
There are also OS tweaks that you can do to improve performance.
