It has about the same credibility as the current MCSE certification. It is
not very difficult to pass ergo passing the exam gives very little
indication of one's ability...one could say: could one say a false sense of
security ????

Sorry, but I just HAD to.

Info follows below:

Certification for Information System Security Professional: A certification
reflecting the qualifications of information systems security practitioners.
The CISSP examination consists of 250 multiple choice questions, covering
topics such as Access Control Systems, Cryptography, and Security Management
Practices, and is administered by the International Information Systems
Security Certification Consortium or (ISC)2 (www.isc2.org). The (ISC)2
promotes the CISSP as an aid to evaluating personnel performing information
security functions. The certification was first available in 1989; between
12,000 and 15,000 IS practitioners are now certified.

Is there anyone out there with this certification and passed the exam?
I am interested in learning about this certification and if it is worth it
or not!

Thanks
