One product you might consider is Internet Exchange.  I haven't used it in a
long time (back when I was a cc:Mail admin.), but info can be found at
http://www.ima.com/. I've also used TFS:Gateway (http://www.tenfour.com/),
although the version we used (16-bit Windows) crashed from time to time.
This might have been more an attribute of the OS than of the software.
Again, this was a few years ago, so I don't remember much about them, but
they both offered features that Lotus didn't.
