I believe that Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.6 (not sure about 2.7) do not
set the PROMISC flag in the kernal.  This is either a bug in the OS
or a feature depending on who you talk to.  Because of this,
ifconfig will not properly show if an interface is in promiscious
mode.

I think there is a utility at the Coast archive at Purdue that
will work on Solaris but the name escapes me.
