Hi all
I might be "wrong guy" to speak about GNAT Box (Im Finnish
reseller), but I have to say that GNAT Box is surpricingly
fast and reliable for a cheap firewall. I do not have much
complain about it. Ofcourse there is alway something what
can be done better, but hey this firewall costs only peanuts.
Another good point is that do you really need all that
hilipati hippaa what comes with FW-1.
How secure is GNAT Box, I would say it is as secure as any
firewall. What are limits. Well, you cant make filters by
DNS name. Other limits I have not found anoying.
There is one place where I would not put GNAT Box. It is
place where trafic is enormous. I mean zilliards of packets
per second. Such places should always use hardware firewall
like Nokia. But about 99% of us are lucky enoug to have
small trafic networks (less than zilliard packets per
second ;-)
