Greetings, All.
I'm trying to find a bit more information (pref. more up-
to-date) regarding oracle through a gauntlet firewall. Currently
all I have found is: http://www.tis.com/support/oracle-plug.html,
which is of unknown use as it is 3 years old.
I have a gauntlet 4.1 BSD based system I am stuck contending
with, and at the moment I'm not sure how well it may be to deal with:
All of my internal systems are on an unadvertised block and
the gauntlet box acts as a 'smart' NAT box. Its outside interface is
connected to the oracle system via T1 on the same switch.
What I'd like to do is open the listener port (1521 still)
to the inside network while keeping security issues to a minimum
(system will not allow any systems outside of local switch to
attach, and the windows goobers are less than intelligent even
if I didnt hammer down the port connection to a few selective
internal IPs).
Any information with experience on this would be
greatly appreciated.
