If you can uninstall SP6, do so.  You should consider testing new service
packs in non-critical settings before installing them on something as
important as a firewall.

Be prepared to restore the firewall from backup(s), assuming you have those
available.  I would suggest you always do a backup of critical systems
before installing new software.  If you don't do backups, I believe there's
a lesson to be learned.

When all else fails, save off the configuration files to a floppy and
rebuild the box from scratch.  Call Network Associates tech support if
you're unclear as to which files are critical to save to keep your
configuration files intact.
