Hi ppp jhe,

We used to be a mixed Token Ring, Ethernet, FDDI shop and ran IP on all segments of
the network. We used the TOKEN-RING_SNAP frame type for the token ring segment. As
long as a router or a server-acting-as-a-router can span the different segments, IP
will route between.

I am not aware of any additional constraints of IP on Token Ring, versus the standard
Token Ring topology constraints.

Doug

Hi all,

I just want to confirm whether can we implement TCP/IP
over Token Ring LAN ? What is the constraints ?
