What service pack level is the client and server at? Are you using RAS or
RRAS on the server? I've most commonly seen this problem when the service
pack on the client needed to be updated or just reinstalled. Reinstalling
or updating the service pack to at least SP3 is where I would start. It may
also be a firewall/NAT problem.

Subject: Timeouts using PPTP
When I try to connect to my PPTP Server from a PPTP client I get a TCP/IP
error 718 "the server has not repsonded". I followed the steps suggested in
MSDN to fix this error and nothing changed. Does any one know what causes
this error and how to fix it?
