I'm doing what you want from behind two linux gateway's running ipsec.
Works fine, and the cost is right. The boxes were in place on both
networks already, it just required ipsec in the kernel, took all of 30
minutes to setup the thing. Machines at one site login to a domain
controller (samba box) at the other site. Getting ready to try PGPNet
with it for guys with laptops.
