Axent Raptor 6.0 does not currently support the StoneBeat full cluster
product. The only supported HA products that are compatible with Axent
Raptor 6.02 for Solaris is Veritas Firstwatch 2.2.5.
Although both Axent and Veritas have stated that the are ending the
product life cycle for FirstWatch for Raptor, and will not be continuing
any new development on the product.
If you purchased the Axent Raptor HA bundle, you must request all licence
keys through Axent and not Veritas, also double check which tier product
you receive. If you have an Sun Enterprise Server, you must change your
product registration to the Tier 2 license, which of course is more money.
Also if you are using multiple CPU's there is a hardware patch for Solaris
2.6 to account for more than one CPU.
Finally, none of the current firewall products out there use more than one
CPU for the application, if you want to utilize more than one CPU for the
firewall application, you have to do some hand tuning of the kernel to
accomplish this. WARNING, tuning the kernel is not for the weak.
hope this helps..
if all else fails, you can always implement the "Ultimate Firewall" by
Marcus Ranum, that will solve all issues regarding High Availability..:)
