Well, that's what I thought. I am getting this following behaviour.

1) Can't ping from remote host to the firewall
2) Console log on to firewall
3) Still can't ping the firewall from remote host
4) Ping the remote host from Firewall - Success!
5) Now, ping from remote host to the firewall - success!

Both remote host and the firewalls are connected on the same subnet.
Firewalls are  on a switch. I am very puzzled.
